Temporary Production Administrator

To provide maternity cover for a period of approximately 12 months.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking to recruit an Administrator with a passion for customer service to join our busy team within the Engineering Department, for approximately 12 months. You will provide high level administrative support to the Production Management Team, ensuring excellence in customer service, taking responsibility for a wide range of duties. This is a full time position, with flexible hours.

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Manage e-mail enquiries, record them and progress chase our prompt response.
  • Process and enter sales orders, taking particular responsibility for a particular and important customer.
  • Raise purchase orders as instructed and manage their implementation through to invoicing.
  • Process and maintain quality control documents in respect of individual jobs.
  • Learn and operate programming of our laser cutting machine.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers

  • Sound background in administration or keen to learn with the ability to pick up new skills quickly
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • An ability to deal with a variety of tasks, ensuring timescales are met with good time management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a busy workload
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, with excellent people skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confidence in dealing effectively with changing priorities
  • Good IT skills and competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Naturally helpful with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
  • A Team Player with the ability to develop good working relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers
  • Commitment & determination to succeed
  • An understanding of engineering processes and AutoCAD would be beneficial but are not essential requirements and should not prevent you from applying if you believe you have all the other qualities we are seeking.
